Windows Installation

When it's time to reinstall Windows, we understand that you might feel like you are starting all over. The good news is that we can backup your data for you before hand. We will Install your operating system. Activate it with Microsoft, Get your Updates and install the Antivirus of your choosing. Other services are available on request

After a Windows installation you may have some work to do of your own. See if you can locate the CDs or DVDs that can with your devices such as andy printers or scanners. If you can't find the software for a device then write down the manufacturer and model of the device.

next Click Start then Control Panel then System .

Write down the version of Windows that you have. For example Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium. Also look at the screen and see if it mentions the term "32bit" or "64bit" If you do not see either fo those then assume that your system is 32 bit.

Now with your list in hand you will want to gp to the website of the company that made your product. Look for a link that says Support or Downloads or Drivers. Once you find it click on it.

Next you will be asked for the model of your device. Type that in and submit the information. next you may be asked to select the version of Windows that you have. Select it. Finally you should be given links to download the correct software or drivers.

Click on the link. When asked whether to run or save, (I recommend that you) save it to a folder on your desktop or somewhere that you feel comfortable that you can locate it later. After the software is downloaded then locate it .

Right click on it. If you see the option to Run As Administrator then click that option . If not then just double click the program. Follow the instructions and with a little luck you should be able to get your device working again. If not feel free to give us a call.

If you know that you are having Windows reinstalled and you are concerned about being able to get your devices working, you may want to bring them to us as well or schedule for your repaired computer to be delivered so that we can complete the job at your office or home.
