Desktop Power Problems

Often the Power supply is the cause of a power problem. However this is not always the case. We can inspect your equipment to determine if there is some other cause. A faulty motherboard , shorted port, defective perpheral or a clogged cooling system can all cause sufficient strain to damage a power supply.

Before you unhook your system to bring it in for repair, there are a few things that you can check. Unplug all devices except for the Keyboard and the monitor. See if the unit powers up. If it does not then unplug it from your surge protector and plug it directly into the wall outlet. Finally if you still have no success. Unplug the keyboard and try once more. Yes a shorted keyboard can prevent your computer from powering up. This could save you a lot of trouble. If you stil can't power up your PC then bring it on in. We will be happy to diagnose the problem and provide a solution
